HET - Hostile Environment Training

To operate in war conflict areas this requires extensive local knowledge in planning tactics and other techniques to avoid dangerous situations. These training sessions are run by experienced field officers.

The emphasis of the training lies in route planning and to be able to recognise signs early to detect possible attacks and ambushes. AUSEC international is convinced that by increased awareness and training this reduces the possibility of being placed in a dangerous situation.

A HET training course runs for at least 5 days providing the participants ample time to understand fully what is required.

HET includes:

  • General behaviour in the operational area
  • Mine Awareness training
  • First Aid
  • Navigation with maps, compass and GPS
  • Route planning
  • Cross-country driving
  • Tactical driving
  • Behaviour at checkpoint situations
  • Behaviour with hostage situations
  • Behaviour in a shooting situation
  • Behaviour in a personal protection team
  • Bases of survival training
  • Radio communication
  • Personal equipment
